When I found out I was pregnant with my oldest son, I remember thinking it was certainly a girl. Someone I could play Barbies with and have tea parties with. Braid and curl her hair and put her in frilly dresses. I basically pictured myself reliving my childhood but as a 20 something-year-old woman.
When my Doctor told me I was having a boy (and there was no doubt about it), I didn’t really know what to think. How would I do playing TMNT and Superheros? Would all the fart and booger talks gross me out or would they even include me? Fast forward to my gender ultrasound of my second child and I remember thinking, “PLEASE GOD, let this be a boy. Boys are what I know and what I’m comfortable with at this point!”. And then he said “Another BOY!”. I was so excited to now have 2 boys to love. I am a proud BoyMom! Read more
In the Blogosphere (blog world) they say consistency is key. If you can only focus on one thing (outside of delivering good content), it should be consistency. So here I am, being consistent. I wasn’t able to take time away to blog this past week because, well, LIFE. So I thought I would quickly throw this together for you guys to let you know that sometimes life gets in the way, and that’s ok. Read more
A strong marriage is more than just an extravagant wedding, it’s what happens after the wedding. Having a strong marriage takes hard work, grace, and focus. Marcus and I work hard to keep our marriage strong for many reasons, but for one simple reason…

About two weeks ago I made a hair appt with my hairdresser Mandy for a haircut. I knew I wanted to do something different, but I didn’t know if I was going to have the guts. Did you know that more than half of all New Year resolutions fail? For me, that’s not that hard to believe because for years I made a New Year resolution that failed. A lot of them failed before the first quarter of the year was over. It wasn’t until about 2016 that I actually stuck with one of my New Year resolutions. Boy did it feel good! Read more
Time management and productivity are something that everyone has struggled with at some point or another. I have struggled with it as well but I have a pretty good handle on it most days. (except today!)
Time is interesting because its something that can go by incredibly slow, like when I was pregnant and anxious to have my babies or the 6 months leading up to my vacation, etc. It can also speed by though like it did for the 5 days I was ON my vacation or the way it does for the 4 hours my oldest is in school and I’m trying to hurry and get 6 hours worth of work done before I have to go pick him up. For me, it is flying by more often than it is going slow, but that’s probably the norm for most parents.
